Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Bamboo Mattresses website, showroom purchases, and all transactions conducted with Bamboo Mattresses (“we,” “us,” “our”).
By placing an order, making a payment, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms are drafted in compliance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and National Credit Act (NCA).
1. Pricing & Product Availability
Prices are transparent, VAT-inclusive, and subject to availability and verification.
- All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.
- Prices, promotions, and product availability are subject to change without prior notice.
- In the event of an incorrect price being displayed, Bamboo Mattresses reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid. We are not obligated to sell products at an incorrect price.
- All written quotations are valid for seven (7) calendar days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
- A deposit or full payment confirms acceptance of the quotation, secures the order, and confirms the applicable payment terms.
- If a product becomes unavailable after order confirmation, customers will be notified promptly and a full refund will be issued. Bamboo Mattresses shall not be liable for additional damages or losses arising from such cancellation.
2. Payment Terms
Orders are processed only once payment is successfully authorized.
- We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Other recognized and approved payment gateways
- Orders are processed only after full bank authorization or payment clearance has been received.
- Failed, reversed, or rejected payments will result in automatic order cancellation without further obligation on our part.
- Bamboo Mattresses reserves the right to request proof of payment before order processing.
3. Delivery & Risk Transfer
Delivery timelines are estimates and subject to payment clearance and logistics availability.
- Same-day delivery requests must be placed before 12:00 PM on the day of purchase and are subject to stock and courier availability.
- Full payment must reflect in our account before any order is dispatched or delivered.
- Estimated delivery timelines:
- Up to 5 working days for deliveries within 100 km
- Up to 14 working days for long-distance deliveries
- Delivery timelines may be extended due to operational backlogs, weather conditions, courier constraints, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Customers are required to inspect goods upon delivery. Any visible defects, damages, or discrepancies must be reported within five (5) days of delivery.
- Risk passes to the customer upon successful delivery.
4. Storage & Uncollected Orders
Orders not collected or accepted timeously may incur storage fees.
- Orders that are ready for delivery or collection but remain uncollected for more than seven (7) days may be subject to a storage fee of 5% of the total invoice value, calculated weekly.
- Bamboo Mattresses will notify customers prior to applying storage fees.
5. Refunds & Returns
Refunds are assessed fairly, subject to product condition and eligibility.
- Refund requests are evaluated based on:
- Product condition
- Nature of the request
- Compliance with CPA guidelines
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 working days after:
- The product has been returned and inspected
- The required refund claim documentation has been completed
- No refunds are offered on:
- Custom-made products
- Special-order items
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, where possible.
6. Warranty & Product Care
All products are protected by statutory and manufacturer warranties, subject to fair use.
- All goods carry an implied warranty under the Consumer Protection Act against unsafe or defective products.
- A 12-month factory warranty applies to defects arising from faulty workmanship or materials.
- Warranty coverage excludes damage resulting from:
- Misuse
- Negligence
- Improper handling
- Normal wear and tear
- Mattresses returned for exchange or warranty claims must be:
- Free from stains, soiling, odors, or damage
- Stained, dirty, or unsanitary mattresses automatically void eligibility for warranty or exchange.
- To qualify for the 100-Night Comfort Exchange, customers are strongly advised to use a waterproof mattress protector from the date of delivery.
7. Lay-By Terms
Lay-by purchases require a deposit and are subject to availability.
- A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to initiate a lay-by.
- Stock is not reserved until full payment is received.
- If a selected item becomes unavailable, a suitable alternative will be offered.
- Free delivery promotions do not apply to lay-by purchases.
- Lay-by balances must be settled within the agreed timeframe to avoid cancellation.
8. Legal Compliance & Limitation of Liability
We operate within South African law while protecting both customer and business rights.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- Bamboo Mattresses shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages unless required by law.
- Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights provided under the CPA.
9. Amendments to Terms
Terms may be updated to reflect legal or operational changes.
- Bamboo Mattresses reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- Updated versions will be published on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
